Blockbuster has acquired Movielink, the video on-demand service (VOD) that’s owned by 5 major film studios - Universal, Paramount, Sony, MGM and Warner Bros. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The acquisition does give Blockbuster an increased online presence. Movielink owns the rights to more than 3,000 movies, making it the Web’s largest digital-movie library.
